Description
Sitting by the local arboretum pond one morning, I noticed a sudden movement in my peripheral vision. As I glanced to my right, I realized a Juvenile Green Heron was quietly scanning the shoreline from a dead branch about 10 feet from me. I sat quietly watching it for over 30 min. It crept quietly down the log and fished for frogs and minos next to me without a care in the world. In this frame it intensely focuses on the water below the log, and quietly begins its approach. The reward: a frog for breakfast.
